Dr.Jonathan Drake published one of the most important posts I am aware of thus far in the ongoing climate debate. At the time I did not realise the full significance of it, nor it seems did anyone else. But it is worth noting that Dr. Drake and I had discussed this on a prior occasion without fully ascertaining its import.

Thursday, 7th Nov, 2013, 07.00pm I attended Professor Salby’s lecture at the Links Hotel, Edinburgh, as part of a series of talks sponsored by Ken Coffman (Stairway Press) and Principia Scientific International. The lecture was titled Climate: What we know and what we don't. The relevant part of his lecture can be viewed in a video from his earlier lecture given in Hamburg on the April 18, 2013 (specifically between 53 minutes to 1 hour and 2 minutes).

Background
Consensus scientists and the IPCC state there is a dominant residence time in excess of 100 years for human emissions of CO2 in earth’s atmosphere. This arises due to a "need" within the "theory" of a greenhouse effect (the scientific underpinning of supposed human-caused global warming) to have the facts fit the emissions data of increasing atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide (CO2). All such official data is measured at the Mauna Loa Observatory (MLO).

 

To get the emissions data to fit the MLO observations a summation formula, which is referred to as the Bern 2.5 carbon cycle model, is applied. The Bern 2.5 CC model has essentially two controlling parameters; a time constant term and an absorption factor. These are then adjusted to make the datasets match; and typically they yield a half-life of about 120 years and an absorption factor of about 0.53. In reality, this is simply a mathematical construct.

The Cumulation Maths Process

Almost any dataset of gradually increasing positive values could be as successfully fitted to the MLO CO2 record. Dr Jonathan Drake showed this by example in a paper called "Is the Met Office to Blame for the Rising CO2 Levels?" (located: www.tech-know-group.com/archives/)

Dr. Drake notes that – “the cumulation maths process can make almost any positive data set with an upward trend look like the increase in CO2 within the atmosphere.”

To illustrate this he compared the reported increasing accuracy of the Met Offices forecasts, to the annual change of CO2 in the atmosphere. These are the two datasets to which the same cumulation method will be applied. Each will have a different pair of variables. The variables are a scaling factor and a half-life.

This simple function was used:

CO2 = (Old*EXP(-LN(2)/Half_life))+(New*Scale)

Where:

Old = the amount of CO2 left after the last year

New = quantity of CO2 added this year

It can be seen that both datasets produce a reasonable fit to the MLO CO2 measurements.

For the record, the following values were used:

MetOffice forecast: Scaling = 1.4, Half-life = 9.4 years

Emissions: Scaling = 0.57, Half-life = 125 years

The Bern 2.5 Carbon Cycle Model

According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), in the notes at the bottom of page 34, AR4 WG1 Technical Summary, this explanation is written:

^"a The CO₂ response function used in this report is based on the revised version of the Bern Carbon cycle model used in Chapter 10 of this report (Bern2.5CC; Joos et al. 2001) using a background CO₂ concentration value of 378 ppm. The decay of a pulse of CO₂ with time t is given by

 Where a₀ = 0.217, a₁ = 0.259, a₂ = 0.338, a₃ = 0.186, τ₁ = 172.9 years, τ₂ = 18.51 years, and τ₃ = 1.186 years."

The above equation and values for the parameters, including e-folding times is the Bern 2.5CC model that the IPCC uses. The first term is a constant meaning that CO2 will always go up, never down (the cumulation maths process already described). In fact the Ao term means that atmospheric CO2 can never go down. There is no known proxy or record of atmospheric CO2 concentration that does not show CO2 varies both up and down on any time scale relevant to climate. One of the time constants is also very long ( 172.9 years) when compared to most studies. [1]

If a whole year's worth of emissions could be dumped instantly into the atmosphere (and no more is added) it would decay as a multi-exponential as described by the Bern2.5CC model of IPCC having the shape shown here: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/jdrake/Questioning_Climate/_sgg/mhm1_1.htm

As you can see, it will never go to zero. If further additions are made, each will follow the same decay and add to the remainders from all previous additions.

In simple terms:

The Ao term in the IPCC's Bern 2.5 carbon cycle model means that 21.7% of our carbon emissions each and every year NEVER leave the atmosphere. THAT is how anthropogenic CO2 emissions are calculated to accumulate in earth's atmosphere by the IPCC.

Has it been shown that nature can determine between natural-sourced CO2 emissions and human activity-related CO2 emissions? No. Has it been shown that nature remembers what each years 21.7% of human emissions were / are? No. But, nature “must,” if human emissions of CO2 are to accumulate in earth’s atmosphere, as per the IPCC claims, and because of the Bern 2.5 CC model.

Professor Salby's excellent lecture series also tells us that climate modelling only allows for CO2 to change temperature.

Professor Salby explains that in the global energy budgets, and climate computer modelling –
"a fractional increase in CO2 entirely determines the fractional increase in global temperature"
And:
“changes of global temperature remain in equilibrium with changes of CO2, but nothing else.”

This he explains is because:

“reflected short wave energy which depends on clouds and ice can not change independently (of CO2); mechanical heat transfer from the earth’s surface which depends on the ocean circulation can not change independently (of CO2); and 99% of long wave energy absorbed by the atmosphere and re-emitted back downward to warm the earth’s surface, which depends upon water vapour and cloud can not change independently of (CO2)”

He continues that:

"In the model world, that is the part that is consistent between all those two dozen models, changes in the global energy budget are reduced to a highly simplified balance, driven exclusively by CO2."

Conclusion

As I listened to this lecture it became apparent that because the models are only dependent upon CO2 to change temperature, that the Ao term of the Bern 2.5CC model means all the climate models of the IPCC can only produce warming. Am I alone in this realisation?

After the lecture and during the open 'question and answer' session Professor Salby and Lord Monckton discussed the Bern carbon cycle model. At this point I asked them if they were aware of the affect the Ao term of the model has, specifically that 21.7% of each years human emissions of CO2 NEVER leave the atmosphere and that can only produce a supposed (and unphysical) accumulation of human emitted CO2 in earth’s atmosphere. Both men looked astonished and fell silent. After some seconds Professor Salby asked me:

“How do they justify that?”

MAN-MADE TYPHOONS & YAMASHITA’S GOLD

THERE IS MUCH speculation that the recent, unnaturally speedy typhoon in the Philippines was man-made. Shocked? You shouldn’t be. Weather-modification technology is by now well established, with many countries routinely employing it to bring rain, divert storms, and for other more nefarious purposes. So, hypothetically, let’s imagine that Typhoon Haiyen was induced or enhanced. So who and why? Introducing Yamashita’s Gold

 

AFTER WORLD WAR II a vast gold hoard of Japanese gold (most of which was stolen from other Asian countries) was found hidden in over 175 different sites in the Philippine Islands by a member of General Charles Willoughby‘s staff. Willoughby was General MacArthur’s Chief of Intelligence.

According to financial expert Bix Weir, the treasure apparently involved more than 300,000 tons of gold and other treasures. He didn’tt state what part of the find was gold, but he did note that the total of all mined gold in the world was believed to be 140,000 tons. Thus, the Japanese gold find in the Philippines must have been at best only some part of the 140,000 tons.





THIS TREASURE has been known by many names including Yamashita‘s Treasure, The Golden Lily Treasure, The Black Eagle Fund and many other variants. This revelation became known to the public from the 2003 release of the book “Gold Warriors: America’s Secret Recovery of Yamashita’s Gold,” written by Sterling and Peggy Seagraves.

The gold find in the 1940s would have crushed the value of monetary gold around the world. Because the US Government was the largest holder of monetary gold, it would have significantly devalued US reserves if made public. Its revelation would also have allowed claims from certain Asian countries that the gold belonged to them. This would have upset the balance of power and wealth in the region.


 
AS A RESULT, the US decided to keep the treasure find a secret. Every US President since Truman has known about the treasure and the organizations that grew up around it. Weir dogmatically asserts that the institutions that were involved with it are vast and powerful—including JP Morgan, Citigroup, AIG, the World Bank, Morgan Stanley and the rest.

Washington power players from the early days of Bill Donovan and William Casey to modern times with the Bushes and Dick Cheney have used this treasure trove to advance their agendas. THE BOTTOM LINE on this is that the US government and its agencies since 1945 have gained access to large amounts of gold which have never been accounted for. If the US government, through its plunge protection team and other financial manipulating activities, has needed large sums of gold to manipulate the gold markets during the last many years, those sums of gold could have been easily made available through clandestine means—like the CIA.

HAARP MAGNETOMETER DATA SHOWS JAPAN EARTHQUAKE WAS INDUCED!

  by PC, www.presscore.ca The United States Air Force and Navy has provided a visual insight into what caused the 9.0 magnitude off of Japan on March 11, 2011 at 05:46:23 UTC.  The image above was downloaded from the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) website.  It is a time-frequency spectrogram, which shows the frequency content of signals recorded by the HAARP Induction Magnetometer. This instrument, provided by the University of Tokyo, measures temporal variations in the geomagnetic field (Earth’s magnetosphere) in the ULF (ultra-low frequency) range of 0-5 Hz.  Notions have been added to the image to show you what was happening the day the Japan earthquake and tsunami struck.
    By looking at the accompanying HAARP spectrum chart above you can see when the 9.0 magnitude earthquake struck – red line drawn vertically – and what was happening before and after the earthquake.  What you can also see is a constant ULF frequency of 2.5 Hz being recorded by the magnetometer.  The ULF 2.5 Hz frequency is evidence of an induced earthquake.  The chart recorded this constant before, during and after the 9.0 magnitude earthquake struck.  On March 11, 2011 the 2.5 Hz ULF frequency was being emitted and recorded from 0:00 hours to about 10:00 hours – or for 10 hours.  We know for a fact that the Japan earthquake lasted only a few minutes so why was the earthquake signature frequency (2.5 Hz) being recorded for 10 hours on the morning of March 11, 2011?  Because a HAARP phased array antenna system was broadcasting (transmitting) the 2.5Hz ULF frequency and it triggered the Japan earthquake and ensuing tsunami.
    If you go to HAARP’s official website you can see for yourself that the 2.5 Hz ULF frequency wasn’t only being broadcated for 10 hours, it was constantly being broadcasted for 2 days prior to the earthquake.  Broadcasting began on March 8, 2011, just before midnight as you can see on HAARP’s website page – http://maestro.haarp.alaska.edu/cgi-bin/scmag/disp-scmag.cgi?20110308.  Click on the Next Day link to see that the earthquake inducing 2.5 Hz ULF frequency was being broadcasted for the entire days of March 9, 2011 and March 10, 2011.  Even though the signature frequency of an earthquake was shown throughout March 9 and March 10 there were no constant earthquakes occurring off the east coast of Japan.
    What is the significance of a 2.5 Hz ULF broadcast?  The natural resonance of an earthquake is 2.5 Hz.  Scientists working for the United States military discovered this using the phased array antennas at the HAARP facility in Alaska.  HAARP’s own charts suggests that earthquakes occurred constantly for 3 days.  We know for a fact that they haven’t.
    The HAARP magnetometer data provides proof that the Japan earthquake was not a naturally occurring quake – it was triggered.  This data shows us that a HAARP military installation was broadcasting the known earthquake signature frequency in order to trigger a major earthquake.  The broadcast was most likely being transmitted from a floating HAARP system like the floating Sea-Based X-Band Radar platform that can be moved anywhere in the Pacific or Atlantic ocean under the protection of a carrier strike group – like the USS Ronald Regan.  Where was the USS Ronald Reagan on the morning of March 11, 2011?  According to a Stars & Stripes March 9, 2011 report – Reagan carrier group steams toward South Korea to join exercise
   
  

Evidence or Conspiracy theory?
Is this evidence or just a bunch of nonsense attached to a baseless conspiracy theory and recklessly made public by a crackpot?  The above image is of the HAARP Sea-Based X-Band Radar (SBX) platform which does exist – not a conspiracy theory.  The preceding link is to the United States Navy website.  What is sitting on top of the deck of the SBX is a phased array antenna – a key component of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) GMD system – clearly not a conspiracy theory.
  The military vessel includes power plant, a bridge, control rooms, living quarters, storage areas and the infrastructure necessary to support the massive X-band radar. The SBX radar is the most sophisticated phased array, electro-mechanically steered X-band radar in the world – according to Boeing claims. The phased array antenna consists of thousands of antennas driven by transmit/receive modules.  The radar is designed and built by Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems for Boeing, the prime contractor on the project for the United States Missile Defense Agency (MDA).  Boeing, Raytheon and MDA exists – also not a conspiracy theory.
  HAARP does exists.  The HAARP program is no secret.  Their own website states that: The HAARP program is committed to developing a world class ionospheric research facility consisting of:  The Ionospheric Research Instrument (IRI), a high power transmitter facility operating in the High Frequency (HF) range. The IRI will be used to temporarily excite a limited area of the ionosphere for scientific study. Even World renowned Stanford University knows about and publishes reports on the activities at the HAARP installations – Experiments with the HAARP Ionospheric Heater – http://vlf.stanford.edu/research/experiments-haarp-ionospheric-heater.  According to Stanford -
  The High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) facility is located in Gakona, Alaska at 62.39º N, 145.15º W, near mile 11 of the Tok Cutoff Highway. The facility houses many diagnostic instruments for studying the ionosphere, but the highlight is the HF transmitter array. This array consists of 15×12 crossed dipole antennas, which together can transmit a total of 3600kW of RF power at frequencies from 2.8 – 10 MHz (HF, high frequency range). This power is partially absorbed by the ionosphere, and though only a tiny fraction of the power it naturally receives from the sun, can still produce subtle changes that can be detected with sensitive instruments.

The VLF group focuses on using HAARP to generate ELF and VLF waves through a process called modulated heating. Such experiments have been conducted since 1999.

      European Parliament issues warnings on HAARP
  “HAARP is a project of which the public is almost completely unaware, and this needs to be remedied.”
  
  Toronto, Canada – [ZNN] The daily lives of people seem blissfully unaffected by events about which they know little or nothing. Daily news reports unfold with no mention as to why and how the powerful operate behind the scenes. We pay our mortgages, book our vacations and school our children, as a corporate and government elite engage in projects beyond our wildest imaginations.

    The technology is called HAARP and the European Parliament has put NATO, the US Air Force and Navy on notice, demanding an explanation about their involvement. One of the most damning statements in the document reveals an American refusal to account for itself regarding HAARP research:

  Caveat – For those among you who feel all is ‘right and true’ with the world and everything you need to know about is in newspapers, or, that those in power have our best interests at heart – you’ve probably read enough by now. There is almost certainly a soap opera or celebrity awards program on TV that you are missing. Or, perhaps you simply do not want to be confused by the facts… You are excused.
    However, for those among you who have an inquiring mind or the patience and concern to read about such furtive things as the demise of civilization and geo-political ethics, the document below is very instructive if not despotically frightening.
    The document outlines why the strange frequency of bizarre global weather and geo-tectonic disasters appear to be on the rise and why NATO, the US Air Force and US Navy have been held accountable for their knowledge and shrouded use of HAARP technology.

  On 5 February 1998 Parliament’s Subcommittee on Security and Disarmament held a hearing the subject of which included HAARP. NATO and the US had been invited to send representatives, but chose not to do so.   HAARP (High Frequency Active Auroral Research Project) is run jointly by the US Air Force and Navy, in conjunction with the Geophysical Institute of the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. Similar experiments are also being conducted in Norway, probably in the Antarctic, as well as in the former Soviet Union.(22) HAARP is a research project using a ground based apparatus, an array of antennae each powered by its own transmitter, to heat up portions of ionosphere with powerful radio beams.(23) The energy generated heats up parts of the ionosphere; this results in holes in the ionosphere and produces artificial ‘lenses’.
  
  HAARP can be used for many purposes. Enormous quantities of energy can be controlled by manipulating the electrical characteristics of the atmosphere. If used as a military weapon this can have a devastating impact on an enemy. HAARP can deliver millions of times more energy to a given area than any other conventional transmitter. The energy can also be aimed at a moving target which should constitute a potential anti-missile system.
  
  The project would also allow better communications with submarines and manipulation of global weather patterns, but it is also possible to do the reverse, to disrupt communications. By manipulating the ionosphere one could block global communications while transmitting one’s own. Another application is earth-penetrating, tomography, x-raying the earth several kilometres deep, to detect oil and gas fields, or underground military facilities. Over-the-horizon radar is another application, looking round the curvature of the earth for in-coming objects.
  
  From the 1950s the USA conducted explosions of nuclear material in the Van Allen Belts(24) to investigate the effect of the electro-magnetic pulse generated by nuclear weapon explosions at these heights on radio communications and the operation of radar. This created new magnetic radiation belts which covered nearly the whole earth. The electrons travelled along magnetic lines of force and created an artificial Aurora Borealis above the North Pole. These military tests are liable to disrupt the Van Allen belt for a long period. The earth’s magnetic field could be disrupted over large areas, which would obstruct radio communications. According to US scientists it could take hundreds of years for the Van Allen belt to return to normal. HAARP could result in changes in weather patterns. It could also influence whole ecosystems, especially in the sensitive Antarctic regions.
  
  Another damaging consequence of HAARP is the occurrence of holes in the ionosphere caused by the powerful radio beams. The ionosphere protects us from incoming cosmic radiation. The hope is that the holes will fill again, but our experience of change in the ozone layer points in the other direction. This means substantial holes in the ionosphere that protects us.
  
  With its far-reaching impact on the environment HAARP is a matter of global concern and we have to ask whether its advantages really outweigh the risks. The environmental impact and the ethical aspect must be closely examined before any further research and testing takes place. HAARP is a project of which the public is almost completely unaware, and this needs to be remedied.
  
  HAARP has links with 50 years of intensive space research for military purposes, including the Star Wars project, to control the upper atmosphere and communications. This kind of research has to be regarded as a serious threat to the environment, with an incalculable impact on human life. Even now nobody knows what impact HAARP may have. We have to beat down the wall of secrecy around military research, and set up the right to openness and democratic scrutiny of military research projects, and parliamentary control.
  
  A series of international treaties and conventions (the Convention on the prohibition of military or any other hostile use of environmental modification techniques, the Antarctic Treaty, the Treaty on principles governing the activities of states in the exploration and use of outer space including the moon and other celestial bodies, and the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea) casts considerable doubt on HAARP on legal as well as humanitarian and political grounds. The Antarctic Treaty lays down that the Antarctic may be used exclusively for peaceful purposes.(25) This would mean that HAARP is a breach of international law. All the implications of the new weapons systems should be examined by independent international bodies. Further international agreements should be sought to protect the environment from unnecessary destruction in war.”

WHY THE CIA IS INVOLVED IN GEOENGINEERING PROJECTS

Susanne Posel (OC),- The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has commissioned a study with the national Academy of Sciences (NSA) to determine of geoengineering would allow humans to alter the weather of the planet and halt the forces of man-made climate change. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and NASA are involved in this project.

Edward Price, spokesperson for the CIA stated: “It’s natural that on a subject like climate change the Agency would work with scientists to better understand the phenomenon and its implications on national security.”

 

The study will analyze, technical implications of geoengineering techniques, feasibility of geoengineering techniques, evaluate impact and national security concerns, methods to manage solar radiation management, methods to artificially cool the temperature of the planet, investigative proposals for removing CO2 from the atmosphere.
Several scientists are being funded by Bill Gates to implement various cooling methods into the atmosphere. David Keith of the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada, and Ken Caldeira of the Carnegie Institution have gathered experts in the field of energy, economists and policymarkers to present detailed information regarding the technical and intellectual properties of using chemicals to cool the temperature of the planet.
Gates has become the biggest private sector funder of geoengineering projects.

To Gates, geoengineering will “buy us time” to deal with the problems at hand. For now, Gates is willing to sacrifice the structure of our biosphere in order to push his ideas for green electricity generation and transportation.

In 2010, the UN Convention on Biological Diversity stated that experiments on the earth’s weather patterns must be halted until more research can be conducted to confirm their positive effects.

Scientists in the UK, Netherlands and Germany say that there is no consensus on climate change within the scientific community. That the theory that greenhouse gases cause global warming is a just that – a theory.

Furthermore, there is no accord on how the phenomenon of changing global temperature and extreme weather is being created.

These respected scientists said: “The Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets have been reported to be losing mass at accelerating rates. However, at present there is no scientific consensus on whether these reported accelerations result from variability inherent to the ice-sheet-climate system, or reflect long-term changes.”

Even the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) stated in a recent report that there is “no long-term acceleration of sea level has been identified using 20th-century data alone.”
The IPCC assessed that it would take centuries for the ice sheets to melt to the degree that they are affecting sea levels.

Studies claim that centuries away the most dangerous effects of man-made climate change will destroy the known world. Carbon dioxide and the global disbursement of the greenhouse gas have dominated the alarmist claims of certain scientists.

Weather Warfare: Beware the US Military’s Experiments with Climatic Warfare

Michel Chossudovsky (CRG) , – HAARP is a weapon of mass destruction, capable of destabilising agricultural and ecological systems globally. Climatic warfare’ potentially threatens the future of humanity, but has casually been excluded from the reports for which the IPCC received the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.
 

Rarely acknowledged in the debate on global climate change, the world’s weather can now be modified as part of a new generation of sophisticated electromagnetic weapons. Both the US and Russia have developed capabilities to manipulate the climate for military use.

 

Environmental modification techniques have been applied by the US military for more than half a century. US mathematician John von Neumann, in liaison with the US Department of Defense, started his research on weather modification in the late 1940s at the height of the Cold War and foresaw ‘forms of climatic warfare as yet unimagined’. During the Vietnam war, cloud-seeding techniques were used, starting in 1967 under Project Popeye, the objective of which was to prolong the monsoon season and block enemy supply routes along the Ho Chi Minh Trail.
The US military has developed advanced capabilities that enable it selectively to alter weather patterns. The technology, which is being perfected under the High-frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP), is an appendage of the Strategic Defense Initiative – ‘Star Wars’. From a military standpoint, HAARP is a weapon of mass destruction, operating from the outer atmosphere and capable of destabilising agricultural and ecological systems around the world.

Weather-modification, according to the US Air Force document AF 2025 Final Report, ‘offers the war fighter a wide range of possible options to defeat or coerce an adversary’, capabilities, it says, extend to the triggering of floods, hurricanes, droughts and earthquakes: ‘Weather modification will become a part of domestic and international security and could be done unilaterally… It could have offensive and defensive applications and even be used for deterrence purposes. The ability to generate precipitation, fog and storms on earth or to modify space weather… and the production of artificial weather all are a part of an integrated set of [military] technologies.’

In 1977, an international Convention was ratified by the UN General Assembly which banned ‘military or other hostile use of environmental modification techniques having widespread, long-lasting or severe effects.’ It defined ‘environmental modification techniques’ as ‘any technique for changing –through the deliberate manipulation of natural processes – the dynamics, composition or structure of the earth, including its biota, lithosphere, hydrosphere and atmosphere, or of outer space.’

While the substance of the 1977 Convention was reasserted in the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) signed at the 1992 Earth Summit in Rio, debate on weather modification for military use has become a scientific taboo.

Military analysts are mute on the subject. 

Meteorologists are not investigating the matter and environmentalists are focused on greenhouse gas emissions under the Kyoto Protocol. Neither is the possibility of climatic or environmental manipulations as part of a military and intelligence agenda, while tacitly acknowledged, part of the broader debate on climate change under UN auspices.

 

The HAARP Programme

Established in 1992, HAARP, based in Gokona, Alaska, is an array of high-powered antennas that transmit, through high-frequency radio waves, massive amounts of energy into the ionosphere (the upper layer of the atmosphere). Their construction was funded by the US Air Force, the US Navy and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). Operated jointly by the Air Force Research Laboratory and the Office of Naval Research, HAARP constitutes a system of powerful antennas capable of creating ‘controlled local modifications of the ionosphere’.

According to its official website, www.haarp.alaska.edu , HAARP will be used ‘to induce a small, localized change in ionospheric temperature so physical reactions can be studied by other instruments located either at or close to the HAARP site’.

But Rosalie Bertell, president of the International Institute of Concern for Public Health, says HAARP operates as ‘a gigantic heater that can cause major disruptions in the ionosphere, creating not just holes, but long incisions in the protective layer that keeps deadly radiation from bombarding the planet’.

Physicist Dr Bernard Eastlund called it ‘the largest ionospheric heater ever built’. HAARP is presented by the US Air Force as a research programme, but military documents confirm its main objective is to ‘induce ionospheric modifications’ with a view to altering weather patterns and disrupting communications and radar.

According to a report by the Russian State Duma: ‘The US plans to carry out large-scale experiments under the HAARP programme [and] create weapons capable of breaking radio communication lines and equipment installed on spaceships and rockets, provoke serious accidents in electricity networks and in oil and gas pipelines, and have a negative impact on the mental health of entire regions.’*

An analysis of statements emanating from the US Air Force points to the unthinkable: the covert manipulation of weather patterns, communications and electric power systems as a weapon of global warfare, enabling the US to disrupt and dominate entire regions. Weather manipulation is the pre-emptive weapon par excellence. It can be directed against enemy countries or ‘friendly nations’ without their knowledge, used to destabilise economies, ecosystems and agriculture. It can also trigger havoc in financial and commodity markets. The disruption in agriculture creates a greater dependency on food aid and imported grain staples from the US and other Western countries.

HAARP was developed as part of an Anglo-American partnership between Raytheon Corporation, which owns the HAARP patents, the US Air Force and British Aerospace Systems (BAES).

The HAARP project is one among several collaborative ventures in advanced weapons systems between the two defence giants. The HAARP project was initiated in 1992 by Advanced Power Technologies, Inc. (APTI), a subsidiary of Atlantic Richfield Corporation (ARCO). APTI (including the HAARP patents) was sold by ARCO to E-Systems Inc, in 1994. E-Systems, on contract to the CIA and US Department of Defense, outfitted the ‘Doomsday Plan’, which ‘allows the President to manage a nuclear war’. Subsequently acquired by Raytheon Corporation, it is among the largest intelligence contractors in the World. BAES was involved in the development of the advanced stage of the HAARP antenna array under a 2004 contract with the Office of Naval Research.

The installation of 132 high frequency transmitters was entrusted by BAES to its US subsidiary, BAE Systems Inc. The project, according to a July report in Defense News, was undertaken by BAES’s Electronic Warfare division. In September it received DARPA’s top award for technical achievement for the design, construction and activation of the HAARP array of antennas.
The HAARP system is fully operational and in many regards dwarfs existing conventional and strategic weapons systems. While there is no firm evidence of its use for military purposes, Air Force documents suggest HAARP is an integral part of the militarisation of space. One would expect the antennas already to have been subjected to routine testing.

Under the UNFCCC, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has a mandate ‘to assess scientific, technical and socioeconomic information relevant for the understanding of climate change’. This mandate includes environmental warfare. ‘Geo-engineering’ is acknowledged, but the underlying military applications are neither the object of policy analysis or scientific research in the thousands of pages of IPCC reports and supporting documents, based on the expertise and input of some 2,500 scientists, policymakers and environmentalists. ‘Climatic warfare’ potentially threatens the future of humanity, but has casually been excluded from the reports for which the IPCC received the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.

IPCC WARNS NOT TO STOP CHEMTRAILS, AKA ‘SOLAR RADIATION MANAGEMENT’

Randy Ananda (FFN) , – The Fifth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) warns that, despite global side effects and long-term consequences, geoengineering techniques involving solar radiation management (SRM) should be maintained:
 
“If SRM were terminated for any reason, there is high confidence that global surface temperatures would rise very rapidly to values consistent with the greenhouse gas forcing.” [emphasis in original]
“Climate Change 2013: The Physical Science Basis,” (referred to as “AR5”) supersedes the former report published in 2007. The IPCC’s First Assessment Report was published in 1990. (In case the Summary containing that warning is changed, here is the version downloaded on Nov. 3, 2013.)
The discussion in the Summary for Policymakers and in the body of AR5 commends solar radiation management over carbon dioxide removal methods, which are limited in their efficacy on a global scale, yet admits that neither are ideal, and that both geoengineering techniques will have long-term and potentially unknown consequences.
“While the entire community of academia still pretends not to know about the ongoing reality of global geoengineering,” comments Dane Wigington at Geoengineering Watch, “the simple fact that they are now discussing geoengineering in the latest IPCC report indicates that the veil is beginning to lift.”
Solar radiation management comprises various techniques aimed at reflecting or diverting solar radiation back into space, essentially increasing the planet’s albedo (reflectivity). Many geoengineers, along with the IPCC, prefer solar radiation management methods for carbon dioxide removal as a climate fix, given the planet’s complex carbon feedback loops, and the much cheaper and quicker method of spraying our skies with albedo-enhancing particles.
“Block the sun but continue to spew billions of tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere,” is how Eli Kintisch characterizes SRM in his 2010 book, Hack the Planet.
In a world run by sanity, we would forego fossil fuels for free and abundant solar energy, coupled with the Tesla’s development of free electricity, to meet the world’s energy needs, without destroying our nest by extracting and burning fossil fuels.
Solar radiation management has “three essential characteristics,” notes the International Risk Governance Council (IRGC). “It is cheap, fast and imperfect,” [4] Citing geoengineering activist, David Keith, the IRGC explains that by injecting 13,000 tons of sulfate aerosol into the stratosphere on a daily basis, they would offset the radiative effects of a doubling of atmospheric CO2 concentrations. This compares to having to remove “225 million tons per day of CO2 from the atmosphere for 25 years.”
Were reason to prevail, we would capture solar energy, not block it; we would shun fossil fuels, not wage ecocidal wars to seize remaining supplies. In today’s world, however, policymakers have diverted billions of dollars into blocking the sun. Efficient systems cost around $10 billion a year, “well within the budgets of most countries,” notes the IRGC.
In addition to warning policymakers in its Summary that Chemtrails must continue, the IPCC also denies that such programs exist. Buried within Chapter 7, the IPCC simply states, “SRM methods are unimplemented and untested.”
It’s an odd statement, given the warning that to stop SRM would heat the planet. Plus, the IPCC admits in AR5:
“New and improved observational aerosol datasets have emerged since AR4. A number of field experiments have taken place.”
One of the programs listed, the Intercontinental Chemical Transport Experiment, covered the Northern Hemisphere, measuring aerosols originating in Asia and crossing the Pacific into North America, then continuing across the continent, across the Atlantic Ocean and into Europe. Headed by the International Global Atmospheric Chemistry Project, these flights ran in 2004 and 2006, and reportedly numbered less than four dozen.
Another “experiment,” the European Aerosol Cloud Climate and Air Quality Interactions Project, started in January 2007 and ended in December 2010 – running for a full four years, and included Africa.
In addition to the joint regional projects, several nations also perform smaller field trials within their own borders. India admits to running SRM programs for over ten years.
Surely, field trials move way beyond “experiments” when they cover continents and cross oceans and are performed over a period of years.
Another inconsistency in AR5 is its discussion of persistent contrails. Despite the dire warning in the Summary urging policymakers to continue with their solar radiation management programs lest the planet’s surface cooks, the body of AR5 sees persistent contrails as responsible for only a very slight increase in radiative forcing (where solar energy is radiated back into space).
Overall, the IPCC has “medium confidence” that these persistent contrails and their induced cirrus clouds do not change surface temperatures on the planet. This contradicts what scientists found during the 3-day grounding of all US planes after 9/11 (except those scooting Saudis out of the country). Ground temperatures increased 2-3 ºC during the absence of contrails, persistent or not.
Developed in 1988 by the United Nations Environment Program and the UN’s World Meteorological Organization, the IPCC maintains its silence on military weather modification applications which continue to skew the climate data. “Extreme weather and climate events” are linked to climate change while no mention is made of government programs deliberately aimed at modifying the weather and inducing earthquakes, drought, rain, and tsunamis. Planetary weapons developed by the US have a long history.
But the IPCC remains mum on these projects, except to deny they exist, while at the same time urging in its Summary that they must continue or global warming will spike. The 2013 IPCC report states:
“Theory, model studies and observations suggest that some Solar Radiation Management (SRM) methods, if practicable, could substantially offset a global temperature rise and partially offset some other impacts of global warming, but the compensation for the climate change caused by greenhouse gases would be imprecise (high confidence).” [emphasis in original]
To claim that solar radiation management methods (which include Chemtrails and HAARP-induced changes) are “unimplemented and untested” is patently absurd, and contradicts a library of evidence.
At the very least, while the veil may be lifting on geoengineering practices, there is still an apparent effort to conceal the extent to which the planet is already being engineered.
Policy makers for the most part are not going to read the 2000+ page IPCC report but will rely instead on the Summary, which (again) warns that if solar radiation management “were terminated for any reason, there is high confidence that global surface temperatures would rise very rapidly to values consistent with the greenhouse gas forcing.”
Climate report for the next decade? More HAARP and Chemtrails ahead.

We know we need to sleep. We know our brains and bodies work better after sleep. But what we didn’t know, until now, was why.
Scientists have just reported the first major mechanical reason our brains need to sleep — certain cleaning mechanisms in the brain work better when we shut the brain down.
Just like how dump trucks take to the city streets during the pre-dawn hours because there’s less traffic, our brain’s cleaners also work best when there’s less going on.
“This study shows that the brain has different functional states when asleep and when awake,” study researcher Maiken Nedergaard, of the University of Rochester said.
“In fact, the restorative nature of sleep appears to be the result of the active clearance of the by-products of neural activity that accumulate during wakefulness.”
We’ve known that our brains consolidate memories during sleep and perform other important functions.
There are also benefits to the body during sleep — resting allows our muscles, bones, and organs to repair themselves.
It also keeps our immune system healthy.
We know that sleep has all of these benefits, but until now we didn’t know any of the specific changes that bring about these sleep benefits.
Charles Czeisler, a sleep researcher at Harvard Medical School in Boston, told Science Magazine’s Emily Underwood that this is the “first direct experimental evidence at the molecular level” for why we need to sleep.
The paper was published in the journal Science on Oct. 17.
Toxic cells
All of our cells accumulate waste while they are working, and these waste products can be toxic. If they aren’t removed they can build up and kill our cells. Throughout the rest of the body the lymphatic system washes these waste products away, but the brain is cut off from these actions because of the blood-brain barrier.

The purple areas are the channels through which brain fluid flows, and the green areas are the glial cells that control the flow of fluid through them.

The team just discovered the brain’s unique trash disposal system last year — the find was published in the journal Science Translational Medicine on Aug. 15, 2012. It works like a plumbing system.
The brain itself is bathed in a special clear liquid called cerebrospinal fluid, which doesn’t mix with the blood and lymph system of the rest of the body. In the study from last year, they found that this fluid travels through special channels and washes the brain out.
There are two types of cells in the brain — the neurons that send signals and the glial that keep them healthy. They found that these glial cells seem to create these cleaning channels around the neurons.
It washes away toxic proteins and removes them from the brain’s circulatory system. They are transferred to the general circulatory system, where the liver can remove them.
Sleeping mice

When mice sleep, fluid-filled channels (pale blue) between neurons expand and flush out waste.

By studying this newfound pathway in mice trained to sleep on a microscope, the researchers found that this system was 10 times more active during sleep than it was while the mice were awake.
They injected the mice with coloured toxic proteins to see the system at work — when the mice were sleeping, these toxic proteins were removed from the brain twice as quickly as when they were awake.
In the new study, they found that while the brain is sleeping, the neurons shrink by about 60% and the channels between these cells grow and fill with fluid. The glial cells then activate their pumping system to push the brain’s cerebrospinal fluid through these extra spaces and flush out the area around the neurons.
When we wake, these channels squeeze shut again as the cells plump up, and the cerebrospinal fluid is once again found mostly around the surface of the brain, not deep inside it. While awake, this washing process acts at only about 5% of its performance during sleep.
All of this fluid movement is energy intensive, which is why the researchers think it can only happen effectively during sleep.
Normally, all of our brain’s energy is busy doing normal brain activities that support every thing we do — all of our movements, our thoughts, creating memories, and analysing the signals that come in through our senses. By shutting these processes down, our brains are able to switch into cleaning mode.
Understanding sleep
The toxins that this pathway removes are the kind responsible for neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s. Understanding this pathway not only helps us understand our need for sleep, and possibly control it better with drugs that turn it on and off, but could also lead to new ways to treat and prevent these diseases.

The buildup of toxic waste proteins causes brain cells to die in Alzheimer’s disease.

In a Perspectives article in Science Magazine about the study, Suzana Herculano-Houzel, a brain researcher at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, even suggested that this build-up of toxins is what turns on our need to sleep and makes us sleepy.
The mice in the study were woken up after 60 minutes of sleep, so we don’t yet know how the amount or kind of sleep humans get affects the washing process.
While it sounds counter-intuitive, this could even explain why some small-brained animals need more sleep than large-brained animals. For example, bats sleep up to 20 hours a day, while elephants sleep four.
Why? Because bigger brains have more space to store these toxins before they build up to dangerous levels and need to be flushed.
Understanding how “brain structure and function changes in the two different states (sleep-wake) suggests that we can start to think about how we can manipulate the two states,” Nedergaard told Business Insider in an email.
Manipulations could include ways to put this cleaning system into “hyperdrive” so we could sleep less, but that’s way in the future.
